Tinted Glass
Tinted Float Glass is made by the float process with the addition of small quantities of metal oxides to color the normal clear glass mix. The visible light reflectance will be even slightly higher than clear glass. It reduces solar transmittance by absorbing a large proportion of the solar energy. And has strict tolerances on its colored glass and ensures through precise quality control that the tinted glass it makes is the same within a batch and across batches-year after year. Advantages
It reduces ultraviolet radiation inside the building. The wide variety of tinted glass allows for a multitude of visual effects. It can be combined with low emissivity (low-e) glass to improve thermal resistance (R-value) and overall performance of the insulated unit. Virtually unlimited combinations allow to modify glass performance.

Applications
Tinted glass can be used in monolithic form as well as in double- or triple-glazed insulated glass units. It can also be sandblasted, silk-screened, shaped, laminated, bevelled and enamelled. Indoors, it can be used for its esthetic appeal and to complement the furniture and decoration. Its acoustic and mechanical performance is similar to that of standard glass of the same thickness and size.
